Yesterday, we took James to see his first movie in the theater. We went early in the day before lunch & nap time, and there were maybe only 10 other people there! It was awesome! And because we had 2 movie passes from a past Christmas we hadn't used yet, it was only $5.50 for the three of us!
The Princess & the Frog was so cute! Because it is based in New Orleans, it was really cool for JJ. Luckily James is young enough though that the 'scary' parts did not bother him. He doesn't really get scared by monsters yet, so the voodoo shadow monsters didn't bother him at all. I could see how it might scare children that are a little older though. But, then again, all Disney movies have some death, dark, or scary parts to them, so maybe not. Regardless though, a very cute movie. And James keeps saying he wants to go back to 'Watch More Moomies'. We will definitely have to make it a regular outing!
For those that are curious what is going on in our little corner of the world. We hope you enjoy!

Your Christmas Card from the Jarzabeks!
Well... here it is! Sorry, but with our lives being somewhat busy the past couple of months, Christmas cards did not make the cut for important things to get accomplished. Because, you know me, I have to make them myself, and there just wasn't time for it. So, here it is! Merry Christmas from our family to yours! You can pretend you got it in the mail!!!

I Finally Caved....
Yep...I did it. I am finally on Facebook. I fought it for a long time because I have so much other stuff that I keep up with. I now have 3 blogs (1 personal & 2 business), a website, and now Facebook. I also fiddled around with Twitter for a while for my business, but I didn't like it. This blog will still be my primary place that I post our family pics, but I wanted to have access to everyone else's pics that don't blog but do post on Facebook.

Visit from Santa Clause
James & Randi had a visit from Santa Clause today!! Does he look familiar to you? James couldn't tell who it was, but he was excited and started showing off for him right away! He told him that he wanted cars & trucks. I think he was just so excited that he couldn't think of what he actually wanted. (this was the best pic I got, the one with James smiling had Randi's arm in front of her face). When he left he asked, 'Where Santa go?'. I told him he had to go back to work so that he could make all of his toys for Christmas. Shortly after Daddy came home and he got to tell him all about his visit from Santa.
He had the suit from a banquet he worked last night at Jasper's. It was one of JJ's regulars (who is in the oil business) having his company Christmas party. He asked JJ to be Santa, and told him if he would do it, he could keep it overnight so that he could take it home & be Santa for the kids. So, he worked his entire shift (taking orders, running food, serving food, all that jazz) as Santa Clause. He said it was the hottest he has ever been at work. But, the guy not only had Cavender's boot boxes & Tiffany's champagne glasses for ALL 98 guests that attended, along with a few t.v's thrown in there, he also gave JJ a $500 Dewalt power tool set for Christmas! What an awesome way to say thanks!

Making Tup Pakes
James had been asking me for 'Tup Pakes' for a couple of days, so yesterday we made some. Randi was taking a good nap, so it turned out to be a good hour & a half of uninterrupted James & Mommy time. It was really nice and we both had a lot of fun.
He stood on the chair and helped me pour the ingredients in the bowl, hold the mixer, 'clean' the beaters, spatula, & bowl, and of course, decorate them.
He likes sprinkles.....

What Do You Think?
Usually, all my blogging efforts are put into my business' blog, (Ready, Aim, Stamp!) and I just stayed with the boring layout for this one. I finally decided that had to change! There are tons of awesome blog designs out there that are free, but finding one that fit what I consider to be our family's 'style' was kind of a task. Anyway, what do you think? I'd love to know!

1 Month Old Already!
Wow! This month has flown by! And I am sure that December will too with all the holiday stuff ahead. Randi is one month old already, and, dare I say it?!...it hasn't been all that hard this time around. I am sure a lot of that is because she is our second, but so far she is also a much easier baby than James was, and he wasn't really all that bad either. Though we are still far from a scheduled day, she is usually waking up for only 2 or 3 feedings a night. Which is awesome because James woke up every 2 hours no matter what to eat! You could set your clock by that kid! But, she is much more relaxed, and sleeps very well at night already.
We were mainly concerned about James' reaction to her, but he took right to her. We had stories of the 'devil child' that comes out when you bring home a new baby, but didn't seem to care. In the hospital he was very protective of her and did not like it when the nurses tended to her. He thought they were hurting her and would become upset. Since we came home, he seemed to just ignore her the first couple of weeks, but he is warming up to her more and more every day. He went up to her while she was in the swing today, held up his new stuffed dog and said 'Dis my puppy Baby Sitster' (He does not call her Randi, but Baby Sister, and yes, that extra 'T' is on purpose).
James is doing very well. He can now count up to 9, and I have heard him string together a few other numbers as well...11, 12, 13. He is beginning to recognize a few of his letters too. Everyday when he gets home from Mother's Day Out, he rushes in to show me his art project and says, ' I made dis Mommy, I made dis!' He is also responding to his shows on t.v. now too. I keep telling myself that is a good thing because they are educational, and it's NOT because he has been watching too much tv lately! Probably some of both though.
We put up our Christmas tree on Sunday. James & Daddy assembled it, Mommy put on the lights, and James & Mommy decorated it. He would pick out the next ornament to go on, and then tell me where he wanted it to be. There is a huge cluster of ornaments at about his eye level, even as many as 3 on one branch in places. I tried to go back and move some later, and he knew that they were out of place, so I decided it best to leave them alone. It is his masterpiece! He ran up to me yesterday out of the blue and said, 'I made dis tree Mommy! With the Mickeys and the balls, and the tractors!' (You can guess his favorites.. Mickey Mouse, and the John Deer Tractor ornaments). He is so proud of his tree!

Our Quiet Thanksgiving
Because Randi is so small still, and I was not looking forward to sitting in a car for hours (I still get soar from the surgery), we stayed home for Thanksgiving this year. Mimi & Poppy joined us, and Cindy did all the cooking for us! It was so nice! We knew it would probably be the only Thanksgiving ever where we did not have to travel or cook, so we made the most of it! Watched a lot of football and just enjoyed a nice, non stressful holiday for a change!
Pilgrim James eating his 'mash-mash tatoes' with his fingers!
This was the first time James was able to help make cookies, and he loved it! He rolled a few, but he mostly ate the dough that I gave him to roll.

Tigger's Halloween
Though you cannot tell from this picture, James was actually very exciting about going Trick-or-Treating. He was so excited in fact, that he was mad we were making him stand still for pictures, thus the face....
He actually lasted longer than we though he would. We were out walking for over an hour before he decided he was done.

What's going on this week with us
So, I haven't been posting a lot lately. Been pretty busy trying to finish up with 'stuff' to be done before Randi's arrival. Things that have been accomplished the past week or so:
Finished unpacking last of boxes from the move. Sorted all of Randi's clothes. Washed 0-3 month size clothes for Randi. Had to find places to put all of Randi's clothes. Set up bassinet in our room. Went to both Wal-Mart & Target to stock up on as many size 1 & size 4 diapers as possible with gift cards we were given. Returned unworn shirt to Motherhood Maternity, exchanged for a nursing bra. Returned extra outfit that Randi got two of to JCP. Weekly checkups with Dr. Westmoreland. Went to Babies R Us for a bottle warmer. Went to Toys R Us for James' Tigger costume (that just happened to be on sale for 50% off!). Made 'Thank You' cards for all of Randi's awesome gifts. Made treats for James' class for Halloween. Hung curtains in James' room finally (there was a blanket covering the window since we moved in!). Got James' hair cut. JJ installed the pet-door for the garage for Pat's cat. JJ finished all of his flower bed and yard projects this week. etc. etc. etc.
I have also spent time every day this week trying to get all of the CHIP insurance stuff straightened out. Neither our doctor, nor the hospital are listed in the CHIP provider directory, but because it's only 1 week away, we can't possibly switch either one. So, I have had to try to organize between myself, the doctor, the hospital, and CHIP to make sure that all of the 'Out of Network Authorizations' are completed in time! Not complaining, trust me! We are just so thankful to have any coverage at all since JJ's insurance at work didn't go through in time!
We really wanted to have everything done before Halloween weekend. JJ is 'On-Call' Halloween night, so there is actually a chance that he can go Trick-or-Treating with us which will thrill our little Tigger. Then on JJ's day off on Monday, we plan to spend the entire day with James, and not working or cleaning at all. We have a picnic planned (hopefully it won't rain again!) in a cute park we found near the church we have been visiting. And then, when he naps, we plan to nap too! Have to get as much rest as possible before our world changes completely next week!

While trying to satisfy a craving of my own this week (for cupcakes) I made an accidental discovery! There is actually a cake mix out there that doesn't taste like cardboard that James can eat (he has a pretty bad dairy allergy). I thought I had checked them all before his birthday party, but I guess I missed one. These cupcakes were going to be our treats after James went to bed at night, so as not to tease him with something he couldn't have. I just happened to check the ingredients list as I was making the cupcakes (this is a habit you gain almost immediately when your child has food allergies!) and realized he could have them too! Just another of our small but really exciting blessings this week! As you can see, it made his day to be able to have a 'Tuc-Take' with chocolate icing (he also does not get chocolate very often because of the milk in it!)!!!!!!!!
