A Day at the Park with Friends

Our dear friends, Jimmy, Tori, & Audrey visited last week before their move to Washington State. We had several days of really awesome weather, so we were able to take the kids to the park to burn some energy.

These slides are on the big kid's playscape, and are 3 levels high. Jimmy would take him to the top, and JJ would wait at the bottom to catch him as he sailed out!

The happy couple...they are to be married!

This was the first time we saw James voluntarily play with other kids he did not know. They kept chasing each other up and down the hill.

Kids & Daddy

James' two most prized possessions...his Pluto & his Green Blanket. He brought them to me and said that he wanted Baby Sister to play with them. I was floored!!!! He does not share well yet, much less does he let anyone touch these two buddies!!

Daddy eatin' it up before he had to go to work!

Daddy is the champion of putting babies to sleep! Look at that milk drool running down her face!

Awesome Attic Find

JJ found these two wooden guns in the attic last week, and James has really enjoyed them! The gash over his eye is from a dive he took into the corner of the cabinet. Dr. Daddy cleaned it up good, and it healed really well. Though, looking back it probably could have used a stitch or two.

And Still More

Papaw with Randi & James! I actually have several pics like this one. I think at this particular time, they were watching the Monster Truck Ralley on tv & grunting!

Hayden was very interested in Randi and always wanted to touch her & hold her!

You Scream! I Scream! We all Scream for Ice Cream! The boys had a lot of fun together this time. They seam to actually be playing 'WITH' each other a little more these days instead of just around each other. James has asked about 'The Boys' every day since we got home!

Play Time

Randi loves to play on her back these days. She especially likes her playmat, but any flat surface with a smiling face to look at will make her happy. When she was VERY little (like 3 weeks old!) she had already accidentally rolled herself over a few times. Now she is trying to do it on purpose. She gets on her right side very easily, but that's as far as she has gotten. I am not sure if she is trying to see the colors on the mat, or just lick it (she licks everything), but as you can see from the last pic, she gets frustrated really quick that she can't do it. Hmmm.....sound like anyone you know?

Visit in Kerrville

Papaw (my Dad) & Randi

My Dad's side of the family always has our Christmas in January so that everyone can attend. This year, the kids & I were able to stay an extra week, so we were there for like 11 days. I have lots of great pics, and Misti has some too that I need to get from her, so you can expect a lot of these posts over the next couple of days.

My Best Friend

This is my best friend (besides my siblings of course!!!) in the whole entire world! Miss Rachael Elaine Welty (soon to be Mrs. Rachael Burr). She is Aunt Rachael to our kids, she is James' Godmother, and Randi's middle name came from her (along with Misti & my Granny). We have been best friends since the 5th grade, so that made us about 11 years old I guess. We only get to see each other a couple of times a year, and I cherish the little bit of time we do get together. She has family that lives here in Spring, so she was able to come the day after Christmas and meet Randi & see James. She is getting married in October to Dan, an incredible guy that JJ & I worked with at Jasper's for a long time. I get to be in her wedding, and so does James! I can't wait to see the little guy in a tux at 3 years old!! Anyway, I guess I am rambling. I just had to post these pics because, like I said, I cherish the time that I get with my friend! I love you lady!! Hopefully we can make it to Dallas to see you guys soon!
