Sorry for the lack of posts lately! After Easter, we had our spring break. (Louisiana does spring break with Easter every year, so it was late this year!). I believe it has rained for 3 weekends in a row now, so there aren't any new pictures of James.
We are all doing well though. James has an appointment scheduled in May with an allergist to get tested for food allergies. He has had random diareah and rashes for a long time now, so we thought we'd check out the possibility to make sure. And sure enough, a few days after I made the appointment, he had a reaction to ranch dressing, to his daddy's horror!!!!! By the time he was finished eating his snack & I wiped his face, it was bright red and welted up. Needless to say, he had a couple doses of benadryl that afternoon & evening. Trying to narrow down what he is allergic to is impossible though because there are about 30 ingredients listed for ranch dressing! Oh well, the poor baby has dealt with it this long, I guess a couple more weeks won't hurt him too bad.
James is 'talking' constantly these days. He seems to be trying new words every day, and now the trick is just that JJ & I have to figure out what they are!
In other news, last night was James' first night in his 'big boy' toddler bed. He did better than we thought he would. It took JJ a while to get him to sleep, but once he was out, he stayed in his bed until about 6:30 am!
I had a checkup on Wednesday. Doctor says that everything is going great and that the baby is measuring big again!!! Lord, help me! James was 9lb 6 oz, 22" and they say that your 2nd & 3rd are always bigger than your first!!! But, I am not surprised. I am not yet 12 weeks, and I have already had to switch to maternity pants & shorts. And, I realized last night that my belly has officially 'popped'. Not just chubby anymore, but definitely a kid in there.
James & I will be in Kerrville for almost 2 weeks in June, and JJ will be with us for about a week of that time. Can't wait!
