Christmas Fun!

We have had a great Christmas this year so far. We still get to have our Gillespie Family Christmas in January! These are a few pictures from Christmas.

This has been one of James' favorite gifts so far. It is a small stuffed kitten that he got from his Grandmother Jarzabek.

James just couldn't handle all the fun on Christmas day. He was asleep but he opened his eyes when he heard JJ & I talking about how cute he was. This was just after we finished opening presents, it must have exhausting for him, because this was taken about 1 1/2 hours before he should have been ready for his nap!!

We went to Nacitoches (Steel Magnolias was shot in this tiny town while JJ lived there as a little boy) for the Hayes Family Chrismas (JJ's Mom's side) the Saturday before Christmas. This is all 9 great grandchildren (10th on the way---not from us) with their Momo Francis.
While we were in Nacitoches, we went to the Christmas Festival on the river. This is James watching the fireworks over the river. He didn't really have an expression at all. I don't think he was too happy about being out in the cold!

Settling In in Louisiana

Well, we have been in Shreveport for about 2 months now, and things are going very well for us. We are staying with JJ's parents right now so that we can take our time buying a house and to save money for the down payment. JJ is serving at The Village Grill at nights, and will begin at Cianti's during lunch after the holidays. I am still staying at home with James, and I am still loving it every day! James is almost 6 months old now, weighing in at 16 1/2 pounds and 26 1/2 inches long. He has learned to roll over, and we haven't been able to leave him alone ever since. It is amazing how quickly they master a new skill!
